• Proposed bills would allow dried flower for vaporization only and double the number of dispensaries from five to ten.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa law establishes strict THC-based possession limits with waiver options for terminal patients

• Patients may purchase up to 4.5 grams of total THC every 90 days from licensed dispensaries.
• Terminal illness patients and existing patients can apply for THC quantity waivers above the 4.5-gram limit.
• Practitioners can allow greater THC amounts for terminal patients with life expectancy under one year or existing patients where 4.5 grams is insufficient.
• Cannabis flower and THC-infused edibles are strictly prohibited statewide.
• Patients must present valid registration card and acceptable photo identification when purchasing.
• Out-of-state medical cards are not accepted for purchases or possession in Iowa.
